32 Bergdorf Goodman Soup Cans

Inspired by Andy Warhol's 32 Campbell's Soup Cans, Simmons channeled her love of combining high and low culture by crafting her own rendition of his iconic artwork. Simmons painted 32 cans for Bergdorf Goodman with unique, style focused “flavors” as a tribute to her age and time spent living in New York City. Bergdorf Goodman, which served not only as the location for the artwork’s debut but also as a constant source of inspiration for Simmons, represents the intersection of sophistication and accessibility, celebrating the fusion of art and commerce, where everyday objects become conduits for thought-provoking ideas and pop culture commentary.

Meet the Flavors

The BG “Ouija” Board

This original screenprint titled "Should I buy more shoes?" showcases a captivating blend of playfulness and mysticism. The words, printed with glitter on a Ouija Board background, create a contrasting visual that invites contemplation. The clever juxtaposition of the phrase with the Ouija Board sparks reflection on society's materialistic tendencies, suggesting that purchasing more shoes has become a subject of spiritual questioning. The glitter adds an element of allure and opulence, compelling viewers to examine their own relationship with consumerism in a lighthearted yet thought-provoking manner.
